SWECSA AB has, on behalf of Gnosjö municipality, investigated future needs regarding treatment of PFAS in outgoing drinking water from Åsenhöga waterworks. The study deals with an overview of PFAS in Gnosjö's groundwater / raw water and how treatment of outgoing drinking water can be done. It also deals with estimated costs for measures, maintenance and operation plan and identification of treatment needs.
By focusing on the treatment of outgoing drinking water from Åsenhöga waterworks, a proactive strategy for managing and minimising the health and environmental impacts of PFAS contamination can be developed. Furthermore, the study provides a thorough identification of the treatment needs, which enables strategic and effective management of PFAS contamination. By integrating the results of the study into the municipality's long-term water planning, Gnosjö can actively work to improve and protect water quality for its residents.
